Central Furniture Rescue actively recycles, collaborating with city authorities and private organizations to divert as much waste from landfills as possible. To manage our inventory effectively and sustain our mission, CFR may sell overstock or high-value items when necessary. Funds received from these sales directly support our mission, allowing us to continue providing essential furniture and household items to those in need

Please remember we are 100% volunteer run organization and not professional movers and are not able to move your items from inside your home. We ask that you have your items ready for pick up in Garage, driveway or porch.

The need for us to pick up furniture is greater than our current volunteer drivers and helpers can handle. If you have the ability to deliver please do.

Our Quality Standard

Not sure if you should donate an item? Ask yourself if you would feel comfortable giving it to a friend or family member. 

  • Gently used and new items accepted
  • Free of rips, stains, strong odors and/or pet hair
  • All items must be clean, fully functioning and in good condition

All staff and volunteers have the right to refuse items that do not meet our quality standards
